To all Idahoans and all those who dedicate their time and services to support all of us troops, my family and I do send our sincere and humble appreciation to you and the state of Idaho for all you do. If it weren't for those who believed in us, those who serve in the military, there wouldn't be anything worth fighting for. If it weren't for mothers and fathers sacrificing time and effort to raise us right, we wouldn't have any reason to fight as diligent as we do, for a cause of great significance. If it weren't for the faith of you and our loved ones, doing what we do wouldn't mean anything and we wouldn't be inspired to make the sacrifices that we are asked to make. It is my personal belief that 'through small and simple things, great things will come to pass,' and with that said, all I want to say is thank you for your simple words of encouragement, sincere 'Thank You's' to a service member that you meet in passing, and to all the other ways you are supporting us, especially prayer. Never underestimate the power of prayer, and you can ask any number of the military who has seen what we see, that it is the power of prayer and the actions resulting from faith, that we are protected, and guided to a higher way of dealing with the ugliness of war, even forgiving those who oppress us and reach out a hand to help make the world a safer and better place. Great things will come to pass in Iraq, other trouble spots of the world, to include each of our lives, when we put off our own worries and take up the burden of those who need a helping hand and build a stronger foundation to stand on together, united in making life better for all men, women, and children. A sincere thank you to you all once again...without you...we are fighting for nothing. ~~Staff Sergeant Kirby ------, SSG/US Army/Infantryman, Idaho Falls
