Kuwait - 7-4-2015: On July 4, 2015 SPC Davis ----- of the 1/66 AR H.C celebrated the 4th by emailing SOT with the following thanks to all the Americans who are supporting them while deployed: Hello my name is SPC Davis ----- of the 1/66 AR H.Co. Support Operation Spartan Shield here in Kuwait. I'm very thankful for the many things you have sent it doesn't go unnoticed.

I'm here to protect people of our country to unsure that daily living is possible for its citizens. The guys and I have many huge smiles when we're notified that we have packages from support our troops. Thank from those who don't and with those that do. I am very grateful.

About The 1st Battalion 66th Armor Regiment "Iron Knights", is based out of Fort Carson, CO. The 66th Armor Regiment is the oldest armored unit in the United States Army, tracing its lineage to the beginning of the Tank Corps in February 1918 under the command of Col. George S. Patton. It was first activated in the Regular Army as the 66th Infantry Regiment (Light Tanks). Operation SPARTAN SHIELD (OSS) force allows U.S. Army Central (USARCENT) to contribute to the U.S. Central Command mission imperatives of Counter, Protect, Defend and Prepare while simultaneously building partner capacity. This operation allows USARCENT to meet the requirements described in the 2014 Quadrennial Defense Review which states that the U.S. is committed to ensuring it has the capability to win decisively in conflicts in the Middle East Donate today and support them they way they support all of us!
