I've been stationed on Hurricane Point in South Central Ramadi Iraq for 5 months now. This is my first deployment as well as the longest time I've been away from my family. (12 month deployment) I never would have thought that getting letters from random people would ever mean so much to me. Just hearing about how someone's day went or how much they support us with everything we do, it makes me feel somewhat of a hero. I guess being the troops, we don't really see ourselves as heroes by the consistency of what we do, but we see ourselves as those who do what we're told to support our country whether we think it's right or wrong. I guess it's all about perspectives I suppose, but to those who hate us and to those who love us, happy fourth of July. Have a beer for me. ~~ Jeremy ------ LCpl USMC, Orlando, Fla.
